Work Broker | Waikato Region | Hamilton Metro & Hauraki Full-time (37.55 hours per week) Based in Hamilton Metro Based in Hauraki (covering Paeroa, Waihi, and Thames) Starting salary from $78,222 to $94,689 Were currently recruiting for two full-time, permanent Work Broker positionsone based in Hamilton Metro and the other in Hauraki (covering Paeroa, Waihi, and Thames). Final location will be confirmed during the interview process.
Were looking for dynamic, driven individuals who can hit the ground running and proactively engage with local employers to create sustainable job opportunities. To be successful in this role, youll need relevant or transferrable experience in business development, recruitment, or labour market engagementparticularly where youve worked closely with employers to meet their workforce needsis highly advantageous. As a Work Broker, youll build strong relationships with employers, understand their hiring needs, and connect them with the right candidates.
Youll advocate for clients, promote their skills, and support them through the job placement process. This role is well-suited to those with a background in recruitment, account management, business development, or industry experience across healthcare, construction, retail, education and training, manufacturing, or horticulture. What youll be doing | He aha tu e mahi ana Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to create job opportunities and support sustainable employment outcomes.
Work closely with businesses to establish and promote vacancies, manage the recruitment process, and assist with onboarding and induction. Educate employers on MSDs products and services, ensuring they are aware of available support and incentives. Work with colleagues across the region, this includes Case Managers to connect clients to seasonal and permanent work.
Advocate for clients by matching them to suitable roles and promoting their skills to potential employers. Ensure that internal systems are kept up to date, recording all interactions with employers and clients. Work with the Labour Market Team to complement Immigration, Skills for Industry and Cadetship work programmes.
